Download demo recordings in MP3For anyone who wants! go to the downloads section. The organetto:Since a couple years, recorder/harpsichord player Geert Van Gele plays the organetto in Quadrivium. This instrument, which is one of the most medieval of instruments is very rarely played today, complementing those other rare Quadrivium instruments, the medieval harp, medieval lute and medieval recorder. Resting on the knee, the little organ is being played monophonically with the right hand, while the left hand provides the necessary wind with a bellow. Due to this direct wind production, the delicately voiced pipes react to the slightest wind changes, resulting in delicate sound colorations, attacks and vibrate. Have a closer look at it in the instruments section.
